Speaker: Kevin Lowther
A self-described serial entrepreneur, Kevin Lowther builds profitable companies around seemingly simple concepts like home lighting, hammers and water. He credits boxing for teaching him the three principles that have focused his drive and determination: never give up, give your all, and fulfill your God-given potential.
Kevin is currently co-founder and president of Poverty Dignified,a mobile energy solution company that is powering life’s basic needs in rural Africa. His leadership and management skills have shaped every aspect of the company including franchise agreements, pilot programs, marketing materials, sales, investor relations and infrastructure readiness. Under the MyPower Solutions brand, products sold through a micro-franchise business model power lights, charge cell phones and distribute music, entertainment, sermons, health, and education materials on tablets and MP4 players.
Starting in 2000 with Slide Sledge Technologies in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Kevin took the hammer and chisel high tech with the patented design of 132 job-specific tools for seven industries, including the railroad and military. As vice president of product development and then as director of business development, Kevin saw the company topped $1 million in revenue and attracted a $1.65 million acquisition by an industry leading tool manufacturing and management corporation. After acquisition, Kevin continued working with the company growing its value to $5.4 million.
