The INOTC meeting is on the 9th of March. Our INOTC board member Matthew King will be speaking to the group about raising capital in today’s market.
Matthew Kings Bio:
Matthew grew up in Charlotte, NC. He attained his Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL where he studied finance, accounting and philosophy. After graduation he began his career in financial services in Miami, FL and later Charlotte, NC, working under some of the best investment specialists and financial planners in the country. During this time, he flew to Chicago, IL every weekend for three years in order to attain his MBA from the legendary University of Chicago Booth School of Business. While there, Matthew centered his focus on finance, economics and entrepreneurship. He began building relationships with entrepreneurs, investment bankers, and venture capital/private equity professionals.
While working at his old firm, he noticed that many of his clients were trying to start their own businesses, but they had no idea how to get started. He began helping his clients find their path and make their dreams a reality. Once a small vision of helping a few clients, Titan Consulting has grown into a full operation that empowers entrepreneurs and small-to-midsize business owners by providing financial services such as raising capital, consulting and CFO outsourcing.
Matthew is also a partner and Chief Investment Strategist at Palmetto Premier Advisors, a holistic wealth management firm in Charlotte, NC and Greenville, SC. Under Matthew’s direction, Palmetto has become a one-of-a-kind firm, featuring teams consisting of attorneys, CPAs, investment and insurance professionals, and financial planners. According to Matthew, “the synergies between the two firms allows a business owner to seek specialization where needed but also get access to a wide array of services and professionals with diverse backgrounds and specialties.”
Matthew still lives in Charlotte, NC with his Great Dane, Leroy. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys donating his time to working with charities and families of veterans and individuals with special needs.
