This month we will learn about the resources our city has to offer that our tax dollars have already paid for. There are huge and great sources of data that can be used for the business of invention that you may never had realized! I Invite you all and look forward to shaving you hands.
Mimi CurleeMimi Curlee goes after information and finds it. When someone needs demographics, or business listings, or articles about what’s been done and who does it, she is out to find the best resources possible. She’s been a Reference Librarian for 22 years and the Federal Documents Librarian for 15 of those at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library. People use the library for everything from starting a business, to taking free computer classes, to reading about motivation and how great minds work. Being a native of Charlotte, Mimi wants this to be an educated, dynamic city with lots of growth….and she’s ready to help anyone find the information which will propel their success. After attending UNCC and then the University of South Carolina for her Masters in Library & Information Science, she’s been working and learning at the Main Library uptown. Use Research Resources You’ve Already Paid For…Don’t Waste Them! July 11, 2013 at the INOTC Meeting
If you invent, you know research is important. These are databases you can use with your library card inside a library branch or at home…any time. Why not explore the resources your tax money is already paying for and eliminate the paid subscriptions and time-wasting “throw it out on the web” approach. Get good results for your research, learn more now. Last Months MeetingBrooks Agnew Brooks A. Agnew grew up in Pasadena, California around JPL and Cal Tech.
